Dog happiness at Ebengut: your vacation with your dog

Relaxation, adventure and lots of fun – so that the four-legged family member is also pampered with us.

In our nature suites not only you spend relaxing days, also your dog is welcome. Whether in the cozy living room, on the sunny terrace with a view, playing on the lawn or on a hike in the Hochkönig region to let off steam, here is certainly something for every fur nose.

Everything a dog’s heart desires

So that your dog does not have to pack his own suitcase, we are happy to provide you with basic equipment: Dog towels, bowls and bags for the poop are available at the reception. We know that four-legged friends are little gourmets, so you have to bring the appropriate food yourself. And even though we already like the special confetti (fur) that dogs lose, we take the liberty, in the interest of the following guests, to charge an extra fee for the final cleaning.

Outside, your dog will probably feel most comfortable on our sunny terraces, but he may also – please under supervision – look around the Ebengut itself. Please note only that our various farm animals are not all on the dog – leash obligation does not prevail with us, however, we rely on your responsibility here. Our high quality fabrics on couch and bed should please also be considered and not used as a dog bed.

Something for everyone: excursions with dog in Maria Alm

For the leisurely ones we recommend the walk from Ebengut down to Maria Alm. You’ll pass green mountain meadows, have a great view of the Hochkönig region and you can also get something to eat in the village before you finish your round back at Ebengut.

For the water rats we also have a tip: the Prinzensee Natrun. With the Hochkönig Card, you can easily take the Natrun cable car up the mountain in summer with the free uphill and downhill ride, and your dog can also travel free of charge when leashed up. Once at the top, you are at the lake within 10 minutes. The viewing platforms and sunbathing areas guarantee unforgettable mountain moments – and your dog can also cool off in the lake on hot days.

Those who are a bit more demanding start their tour directly at the Ebengut and hike in the direction of the Arbesreitalm. Depending on your walking speed, you will need about 25 minutes up, but you can extend the hike to the Schwalbenwand (walking time about 2.5 hours) or – how appropriate – to the Hundstein (walking time about 4-5 hours). A great view of the Steinerne Meer awaits you at the top. Delicacies from alpine pastures and farm products are waiting as refreshment in the Arbeitsreitalm. There is also a lot on offer for children: Especially for the little hikers there is playground equipment made of wood.

For more tour tips, excursions or questions about your vacation with dog with us, we are happy to help you at any time. The best thing is to ask for your time out right away, we are looking forward to your visit at Ebengut!
